Leicester 1-3 Nottingham Forest: fans’ opinions on the victory

We asked him for his opinion after Friday’s Premier League match between Leicester City and Nottingham Forest.

Here are some of their comments:

Ian: In the first half we played as if we were attacking at home. To their credit, Leicester took advantage of the open play and looked dangerous, without really worrying our goalkeeper. In the second half we started very well and that left Leicester breathless. They got lost, while we seemed to be in complete control. I hope this race lasts!

Ashley: Once they faced Leicester in midfield, there was only one team prepared to win that match. A tougher run of matches isn’t far away, so that was a huge three points!

Machine gun: A dominant display and we should have had more goals, after hitting the woodwork a couple of times and Yates firing in from four yards. We look an adequate team this season and we are still improving. Hopefully we can solidify ourselves now as a Premier League team, ready for next season. That reminds me to check my passport!

Scott: It was ironic that Yates opened the scoring, because no coach did more for his game than Steve Cooper. Nuno has the opportunity to show everyone what a good coach he is. Fifth doesn’t mean anything right now, but it’s nice to see. The next three games will give us more clarity on where we really are: they are all established teams.

Ben: I have to pinch myself every time I look at where we are now compared to three years ago. I was very impressed with our performance in the second half and that Chris Wood continues to score for a long time. The fact that we continue to accumulate points, without MGW or Danilo, shows our depth and how good our recruitment has been. I can’t believe Milenkovic only cost £12m. What a bargain!
