Crash claims life of Winnsboro man, LSP says

FRANKLIN PARISH, La. (KNOE) – Louisiana State Police report a Winnsboro man has died after a crash Sunday.

Troopers say the single-vehicle crash occurred Oct. 27 on Louisiana Highway 562 near Drane Loop, claiming the life of 50-year-old Kevin Crain. LSP says the initial investigation found that a 1999 Infinity QX4 driven by Crain left the road and struck a tree. Authorities say Crain, who was not restrained, was pronounced dead at the scene. LSP is investigating what may have led to the accident.

Police urge all drivers to never get behind the wheel when intoxicated, fatigued or distracted. LSP says drivers must follow all traffic laws and make sure everyone in a vehicle is properly restrained.
