Man previously arrested on drug trafficking charges arrested again in Elko

ELKO, Nev. (KOLO) – A man who was arrested in Elko in July on drug charges has been arrested again on drug charges.

The Elko Police Department says Anthony Robinson, 45, of Henderson, was arrested Saturday night following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of 80 fentanyl pills and more than $3,500 in cash.

Robinson, who had an outstanding arrest warrant, was previously arrested in Elko on July 10 on charges related to drug trafficking in connection with a scheme in which drugs were allegedly sold at an Elko-area hotel.

Police observed Robinson leaving a gas station on Lamoille Highway and conducted a traffic stop, where they say they found a hidden compartment containing the pills.

Robinson was booked into the Elko County Jail on drug charges and is being held without bond.

Police believe that due to the small denominations of the bills found in the car, Robinson was dealing before he was detained.
