Portland man in critical condition after stabbing at his Munjoy Hill home

PORTLAND, Maine (WMTW) – The Portland Police Department is investigating a stabbing in the city. Munjoy Hill Neighborhood which left a man seriously injured.

Police said officers responded to the stabbing at 137 Munjoy South St. at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers found a 56-year-old man suffering from an apparent stab wound. The man was transported to Maine Medical Center. Police said the victim was in critical condition Thursday morning.

Police did not share any information about any suspects in the case.

The Portland Police Department said it does not believe there is a threat to the public at this time.
