The job networking site LinkedIn employed Nazi tactics when it banned an unabashedly pro-Israel Manhattan accountant who regularly spoke out on the platform against anti-Semitism, it claimed in a lawsuit.

Marc J. Strohl, who had about 14,000 followers on LinkedIn between his personal account and his ProTax Consulting Services business profile, describes himself as a “proud Jew” who lost family members in the Holocaust and the Holocaust. October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attack that left 1,200 Israelis dead, according to court documents.

Strohl, 59, claimed he regularly reported or commented on anti-Semitic posts on LinkedIn, including messages “that appeared to praise” the terrorist group and the massacre, as well as “LinkedIn posts that praised Adolf Hitler and the Nazis,” he said in the legal document. presentation.

He alerted the platform to multiple offensive comments, according to screenshots provided to The Post, including “Death to Israel” and a post that described Jews as “cruel, emotionless animals that must be extinct.”

“The majority of the reports I filed against people (whose comments) … were abusive to the point of hate speech,” Strohl said. “As far as I know, they took no action.”

His account was mysteriously suspended twice in 2024 until it was banned without explanation in October, Strohl alleged in his Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit against LinkedIn.

“The Nazis engaged in similar behavior in Germany in the 1930s by excluding Jews from public places and businesses,” he said in the lawsuit.

Strohl stated that he was “aware that many Jews and Zionists” had been banned from LinkedIn.

The problem “is absolutely enormous,” he told The Post.

It stated that the company outsources its content moderation responsibilities “to countries known to harbor a lot of anti-Semitic sentiments, including, but not limited to, Pakistan and South Africa.”

The certified public accountant “was subjected to completely different and more severe standards than Muslims, Arabs…”. . . and ‘pro-Palestine’ accounts,” he alleged in the lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages.

The alleged pro-Hamas sentiment of LinkedIn users was so pronounced in the weeks following the October 7, 2023 attack, that a pro-Israel supporter created a list of websites commentators who love terrorism.

“LinkedIn, through its algorithms and its ‘Trust and Safety Team’ has refused to remove posts that support Hamas, criticize Israel, and praise Hitler and the Nazis. . . and has responded to complaints filed that those posts do not violate LinkedIn’s terms and conditions,” Strohl said in the lawsuit.

Being banned from the only notable job networking site in existence has damaged his reputation and his business, Strohl said.

In the past, he has received significant referrals from LinkedIn and his removal from the platform has been notable.

“It is a selective double standard that allows anti-Semitic and anti-Israel propaganda to flourish, while freezing speech and silencing Jewish and Israeli voices just as they did in Germany in the 1930s,” said Strohl’s attorney, Ava Zelenetsky.

Strohl wants his account reinstated.
