Melbourne home invasion caught on camera by terrified woman

A Melbourne woman is shocked after confronting a masked intruder at her Windsor home and posting the video on social media.

Flora Socratous was awakened around 6 a.m. on January 6 by the sound of a window bar and confronted her home invader in her kitchen.

“I was in shock, I wasn’t sure if I was dreaming,” she told 9News.

“He could have pulled out a gun, he could have pulled out a kitchen knife.”

In the video you can hear the woman asking the intruder what is in her bag. (Facebook)

The video he posted online shows Socratous following the invader around his home and asking him “how did you get into my house?” and “what’s in your bag?”

The invader, believed to be a man, attempts to leave through the front door, although it appears closed. The invader then runs into a room and jumps out a window, scales a fence, and runs away.

“I don’t know what prompted me to take a photo or video of it, but I’m glad I did,” Socratous says.

Police are investigating the aggravated robbery and have been told no one was injured and nothing was stolen during the robbery.

It is believed the intruder broke the window latch to enter the home.
