Federal accusations filed against the former administrator of Crenshaw County Prison

Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) – The former administrator of the Croww County prison was accused on Monday by federal charges, according to the United States Department of Justice.

The accusation against Christian Alexander Porter, 33, accuses him of violating the rights of the 14th amendment of a detainee prior to trial after assaulting the prison inmate who was said to be handcuffed and fulfilled at that time. The Federal Grande also returned with a position against Porter for allegedly falsifying a report and making false statements to state and federal investigators.

It is said that the assault incident occurred in October 2021. Additional positions come from the alleged false statements of Porter to researchers in November of that year, as well as in June 2022.

The FBI mobile field office is investigating the case, which is being prosecuted by the United States assistant prosecutor, Eric counts for the average district of Alabama and the litigating lawyer Lia Rettammel of the Civil Rights Division.

If it is convicted, Porter could receive up to 10 years in prison for the violation of federal civil rights, 20 years in prison for falsifying the report and making false statements to state investigators, and five years in prison for making false statements to Federal researchers.
