Quakers demand the Trump administration for immigration policy

The quaqueros groups have filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, after the last round of the president of anti -immigrant policies.

Five quantum groups, a historically Christian denomination that originated in the 1640s, filed the lawsuit against the Department of National Security (DHS) on Monday (January 27) by an executive order that threatened to terminate the guidelines that have prevented them from Immigration officials did actions in the action in “” sensitive locations. “

Among a large number of executive orders that Donald Trump has signed in his first week at the White House, were a set of anti-immigrant policies, as well as anti-LGBTQ+ legislation aimed at mitigating the rights of Queer groups.

In it lawsuitThe quaqueros, represented by the front democracy, argue that, although several of the orders are unconstitutional, the Trump immigration policy would allow customs officers and the application of migration (ICE) to go to schools and places of cult, thus violating religious rights.

“A week ago today, President Trump made an oath to defend the Constitution and, nevertheless, today the religious institutions that have existed since the seventeenth century in our country have to go to court to question what a violation of constitutional law is from each individual to worship. ” Skye Perryman, president and executive director of Democracy Forward, wrote.

It is alleged that Trump’s policy specifically encourages fear among quaqueros, who promote the idea that all people can provide “unique messages of God”, regardless of their background, and friendly congregations for migrants have expressed concerns about possible arrests, and some services are canceled.

According to an ICE post, at least 956 arrests and 554 “arrested lodged” were held only on Sunday (January 26).

“Our faith requires that we do justice, we oppose war and violence, love our neighbors (without exceptions) and make decisions with everyone in the room,” says demand. “The DHS policy prevents all these things and invades our sacred space and its ability to worship freely.”
