Seriously injured driver in Dixie Highway accident

Fort Mitchell, Ky.-A driver was seriously injured in a single vehicle accident on Monday morning at Dixie Highway near the entrance ramp to the North I-75, according to the Fort Mitchell Police Department.

Chief Robert Nader said in a press release that the officers responded to the scene to approximately 4 in the morning, both directions of Dixie Highway closed temporarily while the teams worked to clear the accident. The road has been reopened since then.

Police said a witness saw the vehicle traveling at high speed before the accident. An officer who was driving in the opposite direction near the blessed school of the sacrament also saw the vehicle that accelerated and woven on the opposite side of the road.

According to Nader, the officer turned U and turned on his emergency lights at the intersection of Beechwood Road. Then, the officer witnessed the driver’s clash against Kroger.

The researchers determined that the vehicle hit the median concrete in front of the store before turning along the road and collide with a concrete pillar of the entrance ramp signal to the north I-75.

The driver, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, was taken to the Medical Center of the University of Cincinnati with what the police say they were serious injuries. The officers said they believe that a medical emergency contributed to the accident.
