Anitha emphasizes high -end technology to stop crime in AP

Vijayawada: Interior Minister Vangalapudi Anitha requested the use of high -end technology to stop crime incidents in Andhra Pradesh. She stressed the need to make people realize how online financial fraud takes place.

Addressing a state workshop on digital evidence held under the direction of the Office of the Prosecutor’s Office in a hotel here on Saturday, said the minister from the moment of registering the FIR, the legal system should help people solve the case. He described the police as those that generate confidence in society, while prosecutors help people obtain justice.

Anitha said that given the growing role of digital evidence in investigation, it would be good for prosecutors to organize such programs. She appreciated that 50 percent of those participating in the workshop are women.

Maintaining that Prime Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu even examines the detailed details even in small matters, asked the police and prosecutors to collect evidence in a similar way and ensure that the defendant obtains the necessary punishment.

The police commissioner of the city of Vijayawada, SV Raja Sekhar Babu, encouraged each house to have a CCTV in television lines and a refrigerator to help in the crime investigation. He said they are using drones to relieve traffic jams in the city, in addition to using digital technology to regulate vehicular traffic.

The director of prosecution, Rama Koteswara Rao, said that technology is helping to solve many cases. He praised the Vijayawada police for using latest technology for varied purposes.

The director of Elite Ant-Narcotics for the Director of Application of the Law (Eagle), RK Ravi Krishna, stressed the need to stop Ganja and narcotics in the state.
