Two injured in the attack of dogs in southern Auckland

Two people have been seriously injured in a dog attack on a property in Manurewa, South Auckland.

Police said they were called to the house in Hoturoa Place around 6 pm on Saturday and that the victims were taken to the hospital to receive treatment.

The General Manager of Licensing and Compliance with the Auckland Council, Robert Irvine, said the Council was investigating the attack and was working with the police.

“There is no more risk to the public of the dog involved.”

A Board spokesman said the dog also received medical treatment last night and was with the owner.
