Moment that the police arrest the man who violated two women at gunpoint, since he is imprisoned | United Kingdom | News

This is the chilling moment that the police arrested a man who had sexually assaulted two women at a gunpoint, since he is sentenced to life imprisonment. Troy Tomlin, 27, took advantage of women after establishing contact through an escort website.

He hid his identity when putting on a facial mask and demanded money before submitting them both to sexual assault. Both victims managed to escape the property and alert the authorities, which led to the rapid departure of Tomlin from the scene.

Tomlin received a life imprisonment with a minimum period of 17 years in the Birmingham Crown Court after being convicted of four violation positions, two positions of possession of a imitation firearm with the intention of causing fear of violence, Theft, possession of a knife and cannabis possession.

When delivering the sentence, Judge Melbourne Inman KC declared: “At all times, for what they said, it was hard and wearing latex gloves and solar lenses.

“Both were terrified and considered that they could be killed. The incident was sustained. This was more than 30 minutes during which each victim remained completely terrified.

“There was additional humiliation and degradation because each of the victims had to kneel while violating his friend by his side. There was a significant degree of planning.

“Obviously, he was disguised and did everything possible to hide his identity. You assured you that they never saw your whole face. You made significant attempts to prevent them from telling the police due to the threats you did like what would happen if it did.

“You have not shown any remorse for what you have done. You thought clearly what it intended to do … you are extremely dangerous and it is not possible at this stage to determine when it will be safe for you to be in society.”

Tomlin had reached one of the women’s floors in the center of the city of Birmingham on June 1, 2024 and demanded to know where he kept his money, taking out what seemed to be a weapon. She delivered some cash before Tomlin entered another room where a woman’s friend was.

He also gave him some money, before he raped both women. At one point, he held the weapon in one of women’s heads while demanding to see their identification cards.

He told women that he would go to their homes and kill them if someone told the police. Tomlin was tracked using phone data and arrested two days later by the West Midland police.

In a statement, one of his victims said: “I have suffered anxiety and depression.

“I have also suffered from insomnia and I only sleep properly once or twice a week. I feel humiliated. This person has taken me everything, my dignity, my respect, my soul.”

Det Insp Matt Owen, from the West Midlands Public Public Protection Unit, said: “This was a horrible and sustained attack against two women, causing real fear and a significant and lasting impact.

“Tomlin tried to bed of this suggesting that sex had been consensual, but the jury could see through that.”
