Colorado dentist accused of poisoning the wife faces new positions related to the conspiracy of deaths of main researchers and inmates

Grand Junction, Colorado (KJCT) – Colorado dentist accused of fatally poisoning his wife is now accused of trying to kill a detective.

Colorado prosecutors accused James Craig on Friday to ask a fellow inmate to kill a detective.

The six -year dentist and father already declared himself innocent of first degree murder, where the police say he was tied to his wife’s protein.

During Friday’s hearing, prosecutors said Craig was conspiring to kill a detective, an officer and two other inmates.

They presented letters they wrote from the prison that say they show their attempts to have manipulated and manufactured evidence.

Craig faces new positions, including the request to commit murder and request to commit perjury.

The next hearing for the case will be on April 7, 2025. The jury selection will begin on July 10.
