Two seriously injured people in Carbondale’s clash

Carbondale, Ill. (KFVS) – The Carbondale Police is investigating an accident of two vehicles that sent two people to the hospital.

According to the Carbondale Police Department, around 5 pm on Sunday, February 16, police officers from the city of Carbondale and firefighters responded to a report of a traffic accident in the 500 block of South Giant City Road.

Police say the investigation revealed that two vehicles were involved and two people were seriously injured.

The Jackson County ambulance service responded and transported to the wounded parties to a local hospital once they were expelled from the vehicles.

The officers remained on stage during the closure of the road to investigate the accident.
