On February 18, Dr. Ayo Ajasa, president of the Community Development Association of the Ajebo Housing Station (CDA), issued a statement that addresses the tragic and avoidable loss.

Dr. Ajasa emphasized that the community had previously begged to the state government to install speed groundbreaking on the road, which could have avoided such incidents.

“This unfortunate incident, which occurred on Sunday, February 16, 2025, has once again stated the serious need for immediate government intervention to avoid new tragedies on this path,” said Dr. Ajas.

He highlighted the inconsistency in government actions, noting that, although speed potholes were installed at the end of the Ilugun highway, requests for similar security measures were ignored in the section of the Ajebo Road Housing urbanization.

Dr. Ajasa reiterated the urgency of installing speed switches, truck barriers and clear traffic signage to warn motorists against reckless driving.

He also urged the most strict police to stop speeding inside the farm.
