The extreme to dangerous cold continues this week

The chills this morning have between 30 and 40 degrees below zero, which makes everything Siouxland under an extreme cold warning until today.

Then, tonight, a cold weather warning will enter into force from 6 pm and will last until noon Wednesday.

The chills could be between 20 and 30 degrees below zero.

In general, today it will be very cold with maximum to zero until even below zero.

There is the possibility that we can tie or establish new low records. The highest record for Tuesday is 1 grade, which was delayed in 1929.

We are predicting a 1 grade high below zero.

It is also possible a bit of light snow in the west.

On Tuesday night it will be cold again with night minimal of 5 to 15 degrees below zero.

The chills will be 20 to 30 degrees below zero.

On Wednesday it will be cold again with maximums in individual digits under zero.

There is the possibility that we can see a new lower record for Wednesday.

The lowest record for Wednesday is 4 degrees, in 1894, and we are predicting a maximum of 1 in Siouxland.

There will be a cold weather surveillance from Wednesday afternoon until Thursday morning for some of our counties to the south and west of Siouxland.

With all bitterly cold conditions, Frostbite will be very high to extreme.

The good news is that for Friday our maximums will rise to adolescence, and then this weekend we will see maximums in the 30s and 40s.
