Case against the personnel of the Electricity Department of 8 UP for sexual abuse abuser, inflated invoice

There has been a case against eight employees of the Department of Electricity in Badohi, including a subdivision officer (SDO) and a Junior engineer (JE), for charges of issuing an inflated electricity bill, abusing a woman and destroying her house in the Pretext of disconnecting the power supply, police said Tuesday.

Police Superintendent (SP) Abhimanyu Mangalik said Sajid Ali (44), by Ghosia Nagar in the Aurai area, had presented a petition in the Judicial Judicial Court Chief (CJM) on July 22, 2024.

After an audience, the CJM Sabiha Khatoon directed on Tuesday the record of a case against Sdo Deepak Patel, Je Manish Singh and the employees of the Dharmendra department, Summit Patel, Brooj Kumar, Balmeet, Manoj Rai and Ajay Kumar.

In compliance with the court order, there has been a case against the eight government employees under several sections, including deception positions, sexual abuse and criminal intimidation, said the SP, adding that the matter is being investigated.

According to Ali’s request, the defendant had allegedly taken RS 7,500 on December 10, 2019 to provide an electricity connection to his store, but did not installed a meter.

Later, on December 24, 2020, a case was recorded against him for alleged theft of electricity, and an invoice of RS 1,32,470 was sent, including a fine, the SP cited the complaint.

Ali also claimed that on the same day, Deepak, Summit and Manish entered their home to disconnect the energy supply, abuse his wife and destroy the property.

When his wife gave an alarm, local women intervened and rescued it, he said.
