The man declares himself guilty of federal charges in the case of the brothels of Cambridge – Boston News, Weather, Sports

James Lee, 70, from California, declared himself guilty of three charges on Wednesday afternoon.

Prosecutors say Lee leased and helped finance the properties located in Cambridge, Watertown and northern Virginia.

Prosecutors also say that elected officials, pharmaceutical executives, doctors, military personnel and others participated in these brothels.

The authorities say that Lee could fraudulently request the loans of COVID PPP worth $ 580,000 while the scheme continued.

Lee could face up to 25 years in prison. It must be tentatively sentenced in April.
