Pennsylvanian accused of having child sexual abuse material has ‘extremist ideology’, prosecutors say

Pittsburgh (AP)-federal prosecutors say that a man from the Pittsburgh area accused of having child sexual abuse material also attacked the Jewish community of the city with anti-Semitic flyers and has previously said that he wanted to commit an attack of “high slaughter content.”

The United States Prosecutor’s Office in Pittsburgh said Wednesday that he successfully argued against Aidan Harding, 20 years old, during a hearing earlier this month. Harding was accused of a position of possession of sexual content, in videos and photos, of children under 12 years.

His lawyers argued that Harding is not a risk of flight, saying that he has lived in the Pittsburgh area all his life and works on a family farm. They wrote in a presentation of February 12 that Harding is accused of having the material of child sexual abuse on their phone, not producing such material or trying to meet a child.

Prosecutors claim that Harding follows a “racially motivated violent extremist ideology and has more than 20 weapons. They say that Harding had been previously judged criminal for terrorist threats after publishing online that wanted to commit an attack “high of killing.”

“To the extent that the Government depends on the statements … that the defendant adheres to a violent racist ideology or has visited the Internet sites associated with the racial or ethnically motivated extremism, it can be deplorable, but it is not criminal,” lawyers wrote lawyers Chris Capozzi and Casey Mullen in a presentation of cases. They said Harding’s weapons are legally property. Mullen declined to comment on Wednesday.

Judge magistrate Christopher B. Brown ordered that Harding kept in jail to the trial, and the Butler County prison system indicated that he was imprisoned there until Wednesday afternoon.
