Bengaluru police have decided to take energetic measures against cyclists who make dangerous wheels and acrobatics on the city’s roads in an effort to stop young people who violate the law.

Bengaluru police have opened noisy leaves against 14 young people arrested for performing dangerous bicycle and machetes in the high passage of KR Puram at the beginning of the month. The incident, which occurred on the eve of Shab-E-Barath, caused a generalized concern after a viral video showed that the group participated in reckless behavior, including the swords and gripping machetes while traveling in multiple two-wheeled vehicles in areas such as DJ Halli, outer ring road, RT Nagar, KR Puram and Avalahalli.

Police Commissioner B Dayanand explained that the police will take energetic measures against anyone who interrupts public safety.

“This is a protocol that we have been following in the city during the last two years. Every time people participate in public hooliganism or create discomfort that interrupt public security, we take strict measures. In this case, we are opening noisy leaves against the defendants instead of history leaves, “he said.

The defendants, identified as mechanics, delivery agents and assistants of the chicken store, were tracked using CCTV images and arrested under the weapons law and several sections of the Motorized Vehicle Law. Police confiscated seven bicycles and summoned the defendant’s parents to interrogate him. Medical exams revealed that individuals were not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the incident, but were usual criminals.

The decision to present noisy leaves underlines the police commitment to stop public disturbances and guarantee the safety of citizens. Noisy leaves are generally used to monitor people with a history of criminal behavior, allowing the police to monitor their activities more closely.
