Trump plans tariffs in Mexico, Canada for March 4, while duplicating existing 10 PC rates in China

President Donald Trump says he plans to impose tariffs on Canada and Mexico starting next Tuesday, in addition to duplicating the universal rate of 10 percent accused of China imports. Publishing social Truth on Thursday, Trump said that illicit drugs such as fentanil are introduced to smuggling to the United States into “unacceptable levels” and that import taxes would force other countries to represent trafficking. “We cannot allow this scourge to continue damaging the United States and, therefore, until it stops, that is, seriously limited, the proposed tariffs scheduled to enter into force in the fourth of March, in fact, they will enter into force, as scheduled,” wrote the Republican President. “China will also be charged an additional 10 percent rate on that date.”

The possibility of growing tariffs has already thrown the global economy into agitation, with consumers who express fears about the worsening of inflation and the automotive sector possibly suffering if the two largest commercial partners in the United States in Canada and Mexico are slapped with taxes.

The highest pricing perspective and slower growth could create political setback for Trump.
