“I’m working to get it all out, but I’m terrified of the amount of beesThere are wasps, hornets and hornets there. How can I get rid of them for an afternoon without killing them?” the original poster asked.

The photo shows a path with a ton of mint invading the cobblestones. The plants appear to be covered in small white flowers that likely attract pollinating insects.

Mint is a beautiful herb, but most varieties tend to grow quickly and aggressively. Many people warn against planting it directly in the floorbut it is also known that mint escape from a planter.

Utah State University warns in his mint guide: “Mint spreads quickly in open garden areas and will outcompete most garden plants. Once established, it is very difficult to eradicate.”

Although many species of mint will overgrow in your garden, there are some varieties that can be used as an alternative to grass. Corsican mint is a species native to France and Italy that has been promoted by epic gardening like a fresh smell ground cover.

However, incorporating native wild flowers either clover as part of a natural grass is by far the best option for local ecosystems, as well as being a less expensive and lower maintenance approach than introducing non-native species such as mint.

One commenter suggested that the OP should use the mint he has, writing: “You can make a lot of mojitos and mint juleps.”

“Is it necessary to take care of this task now?” other asked. “If not, put up a barrier to prevent it from spreading further. When late summer or early fall comes, trim them and remove them. You will have less pollinators deal with them and it will give them a chance to go somewhere else to hibernate before winter.”

“Let the flowers die and then take them out for the winter!” Another agreed. “It will be much easier to pull out much less foliage.”
