LeBron James’ former teammates and coaches send birthday messages on Epic Vi

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James turned 40 on Monday, a historic feat for an NBA player with a prolific career as one of the league’s biggest stars. Former teammates and coaches wished James a happy birthday in a recent video, published by ESPN.

Former Cleveland teammate Kevin Love opened the video with a joyful message.

“Bron, happy 40th birthday,” Love said. “As we would say in the group chat, ‘you’re annoying and full of yourself and it never happened, but we love you anyway and accept you just the way you are.’ No, but seriously, I love you, I appreciate you. So many wonderful times together , including 2016. Many people have watched you since I was young and when you were young too Happy to meet your family Happy 40th birthday, enjoy.

Portland Trailblazers head coach Chauncey Billups, who played against James earlier in his career, also sent a birthday greeting to the Lakers star.

“Bron, what’s up, man? I just wanted to wish you a happy 40th birthday. I can’t believe I’m saying that,” Billups said. “I remember your first pre-season game when you came to Palace when you were 18, 22 years ago playing against them. And to see that you are still dominating the game now it has been an honor and a pleasure to be a part of that. Proud of you, happy man number 40. Go enjoy it, man.”

Kyle Korver, also a former teammate in Cleveland, had one of the funniest birthday messages for James in the video.

“40 is a good number, let me tell you,” Korver said with a smile. “People are afraid of 40, it’s not necessary. Let your hair grow, maybe a beard. I think first I have to congratulate you, you passed me on the three-point shooting list. That’s a little complicated. No “You’re a shooter, you’re the guy who passes shooters. It just feels like you’re trying to take everything right now. I think that’s selfish of you, but congratulations on that, congratulations on 40.”

James’ former head coach in Cleveland, Mike Brown, and Steve Kerr, James’ Olympic head coach and Finals rival, also shared a warm message for the superstar on his big day.
