RTE star Daithi O Se has revealed to fans that she has suffered from a common phobia for over 30 years.

The popular host currently hosts the station’s hit afternoon show, Today, along with Maura Derrane and Sinead Kennedy.

On the show, the hosts often discussed news topics and listened to people’s personal struggles and stories.

However, yesterday Daithi took to Instagram to reveal something personal about himself with his fans.

The 48-year-old shared a photo of himself at the dentist in his home county of Kerry.

The dad-of-one took a selfie in the dental chair and even got the dentist in the photo.

She smiled widely as Daithi flashed a tired smile as she revealed to fans that she hadn’t been to the dentist in over 30 years, for a specific reason.

The Kerry native revealed he was “terrified” of going near a dental surgery – something that haunted him for 31 years.

O He made the confession in his caption, adding: “I hadn’t been to the dentist in 31 years. It was something that had been on my mind for a long time.

“I was terrified to go near a dental office…I was sedated and I can honestly say I didn’t feel anything or remember any of it…thanks to Dr. Alma.”

Friends and fans flocked to the host’s comments section to show their support.

Susan said: “Well done, Daithi. Like many.”

Eimer wrote: “I’m glad you shared this. A lot of people are afraid of dentists.”

Another fan added: “Happy New Year. What a relief.”

Daithi is no stranger to being honest with fans, having previously brought them along. your hair transplant journey.

Daithi She first attended the Bon Secours Hospital Kerry Hair and Cosmetic Restoration Clinic in December 2022 for a consultation with Dr Mohamed Abdelrahim.

CHRC experts then came up with a treatment and Daithi underwent the age-defying lock procedure just before Christmas that year.

Daithi first recorded the results one day after the procedure and then one month after the procedure.

Then, showing the results six months after the hair restoration procedure, Daithi acknowledged the major changes that had been made to her hair.

She said: “Over the last month, I’ve noticed that the hairline in the front has a beautiful line, a beautiful definition, and it’s also filled out, which is fantastic.”
