Former Roma Sardar Azmoun video calls El Shaarawy: “I miss you.”

Former Giallorossi player Sardar Azmoun has not forgotten his teammates.

The Iranian striker, now a member of UAE Pro League club Shabab Al Ahli, spent last season on loan at Roma from Bayer Leverkusen.

In the end, his contract was not renewed and Azmoun was forced to leave the Italian capital.

Through an Instagram story, the Iranian striker published a screenshot of a video call with Stephan El Shaarawy, in the Tre Fontane locker room before this afternoon’s open training session, with the comment: “I miss you.”

Azmoun was very popular with his teammates last season and remains good friends with several members of the Roma squad.
