Jeff Baena, husband of Aubrey Plaza, passed away at the age of 47. Baena was found dead by his assistant on Friday morning in his Los Angeles home, prompting local authorities to intervene. The police arrived around 10:30 a.m. to begin the investigation into the death, although all the circumstances are still unknown.

Plaza, who is mourning her husband’s suicide, has not yet commented on his death. Meanwhile, his representatives gave a statement to Deadline on Saturday, saying that “the family is devastated and asks for privacy at this difficult time.”

Jeff Baena and Aubrey Plaza married in 2021 in a private ceremony and have no children. Plaza revealed her message through an Instagram post the same year where she congratulated him on his work Spun Me Round and referred to him as “dear husband.”
