Bognor Regis: Six arrests on suspicion of arson following apartment rescue

Six men have been arrested on suspicion of arson after two people were rescued from a flat fire in Bognor Regis.

Fire crews were called to an apartment above shops on Station Road at 22:48 BST on Thursday and brought the fire under control by midnight.

Police said six men, aged 34, 37, 46, 47, 52 and 60, all from Bognor Regis, were arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

The 37-year-old man was also arrested after a 47-year-old man suffered minor injuries in an assault.
