Young man killed in crash in Havelock North named by police

Police have named the young man who died in a hillside lane crash in Havelock North as Wade William Crosbie.

The 19-year-old, from Hastings, died in the crash on Foster Lane on January 2.

Police said two other people seriously injured in the crash remained in hospital recovering from their injuries.

“Our thoughts are with his family and friends. “Investigations into the circumstances of the accident are ongoing.”

The death was the 13th in the national Christmas and New Year road toll.
