How to beat the final boss fight in Silent Hill 2 Remake

The final boss fight Silent Hill 2 Remake It is located at the end of the Otherworld version of the Lakeview Hotel. After defeating the Dual Pyramid Heads and listening to Mary’s dialogue, go up the stairs until you reach a large open room with a woman who looks like Mary standing in the window. If you’re getting the “Maria” ending, this will be Mary, but for all other endings that include this boss fight, it will be Maria dressed as James’ late wife. When James rejects Mary or Maria, they will transform into the same monster while she floats in the air trapped in a bed frame and hanging upside down.

This battle consists of a few different phases. Right at the beginning of the fight, Mary/Maria will rely on hordes of moths flying around the area as her main form of attack. When moths group together and form a sphere, watch out! They will start heading towards you. When they get close, they will briefly flash red and then explode to deal damage to James. You can hit this orb or dodge the explosion to avoid the attack. While avoiding this attack, continue attacking the boss until you start using the large tendril coming out of its back as a weapon.

t

Mary/Maria will begin to perform a series of horizontal strikes with the tendril and will even attempt to wrap it around James’ neck. Keep your distance as much as you can, as she can teleport around the area. If it gets close, just dodge and get away from here. Also make sure to watch out for the moths, as they will continue to fly around the area and try to attack you.

When you deal enough damage to the boss, the bed frame will begin to break and you will both descend into a dark hallway. She begins to acquire traits similar to those meat lip boss fight from earlier in the game. She will run across the roof of the area and you will only be able to see her through the destroyed bars. Meanwhile, the moths will continue to try to locate you and will explode, although they are much more dangerous down here as they can ambush you from the dark. She will drop down sporadically and try to attack you with her tendril. Take advantage of this time to use your most powerful weapons, such as the shotgun and hunting rifle, to damage her. When you do enough damage, you will move on to the final phase.

Returning to a boss arena more similar to the first area, Mary/Maria will now use the frame as long legs that will allow her to run around the area and make massive changes. He can also perform fast-moving charge attacks to close the distance if you try to maintain distance while still using the moth attack. Since this is the end of the game, I suggest dodging the attacks and emptying all your remaining ammo on the boss until he is defeated.

When his health reaches zero, he will fall to the ground and you will have to take one last hit to end the fight and the game. Defeating this boss will unlock the “That Part of Me” trophy and achievement and begin the final cutscene.
