Man Utd star reaches exit ‘deal’ with INEOS ‘double signing lined up’ as five targets named

Manchester United flop Antony has reportedly “agreed to leave” the Premier League giants as he chooses his “next destination”.

The Brazil international has proven to be a huge flop at Old Trafford as he failed to live up to expectations following his £86million transfer from Eredivisie side Ajax in 2022.

Anthony has struggled to make an impact on Manchester United and moved down the pecking order at the start of this season.

It appears the winger is on loan time at Man Utd as the Premier League is yet to start this season.

The 24-year-old came off the bench on Thursday night in Man Utd’s 1-1 draw against Fenerbahce. He may have suffered a serious injury when he was stretchered off the field after playing just 16 minutes.

It remains to be seen whether this injury will affect his chances of leaving Man Utd in January, but a report in Spain claims he has “agreed to leave” the Premier League side as he has chosen former club Ajax as his “next destination.”

After spending around £185m on signings over the summer, Man Utd co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is already laying the groundwork for the winter transfer with his recruitment team.

a report of GiveMeSport claims Man Utd are “preparing a double signing” with their “concentration still directed towards their midfield”.

‘Manchester United are set to make two key midfield signings, one expected during the January transfer window and the other planned before next season begins.

“These moves are part of a broader strategy to rejuvenate the team while focusing on emerging talent, in line with a long-term vision for the future of the team.”

The report also claims that Man Utd are “monitoring a quintet” of midfielders ahead of the next two transfer windows.

“It is understood that players being closely monitored by Manchester United’s recruitment team include Morten Frendrup, Morten Hjulmand, Sverre Nypan, Richard Rios and Chris Rigg.

“Each of these players represents the type of potential the Red Devils aim to add to their squad as they continue to prioritize building a team for the future.

‘Danish midfielder Frendrup has been making waves in Serie A with Genoa, and Manchester United see him as a versatile option who can provide defensive stability while progressing the ball. Other teams have noticed him and, at 23 years old, it is believed that he is a player of real interest.

“Likewise, his compatriot Dane Hjulmand, a 25-year-old key man at Portuguese giants Sporting, is on the radar and both players would be seen as capable of making an early challenge for the first team if they signed.

‘Palmeiras star Ríos, 24, was scouted over the summer and has great energy. It is touted that he will soon make the switch to European football, but Manchester United’s exact stance is currently unclear.

‘Perhaps the most intriguing options for January are the teenagers, including Rosenborg’s Nypan. At just 17 years old, he is being hailed as one of Norway’s next big talents. He has technical ability and maturity on the ball beyond his years, making him a potential long-term investment. Sources claim they are monitoring him closely and if he were to join, he would represent a talent with immense potential to become a star.

‘Sunderland’s 17-year-old Chris Rigg is also seen in terms of having a high ceiling that can be achieved, but it is more in line with securing top local talent. “He is being watched by a lot of top clubs across Europe and his ability to play from deep makes him someone to keep a close eye on.”
