Francisco Lindor needs to be the next Mets captain

My suggestion for METS will not generate any unnecessary drama, and should not definitely activate even a single Toobird, unlike the strangely mixed reaction at its fanatic festival on Saturday at Citi Field.

My recommendation for Queens team is so obvious and not controversial that it is difficult to believe that it has not yet happened:

Make the great captain of Francisco Lindor Mets.

The main reason, of course, that Lindor should be appointed captain is that it would be excellent. But before entering why that is the case, let’s lie with a couple of small lateral benefits that may not be so small.
