Truman Thompson heads 2,000 race points in Rays 58-49 win over King

Corpus Christi, Texas-Los Ray Texans assured a very necessary Victory of Uil District 29-5a over King 58-49 on Tuesday. Ray’s senior, Truman Thompson, needed 11 points to overcome 2,000 race and scored 19.

“It’s amazing. It’s a great feeling. You know I love playing with these boys,” Thompson said. “I am happy to give me the opportunity to score every night. It feels even better that we have a great victory in the district tonight. I love it.”

Thompson’s teammate, Harrison Pohlmeir, scored 10 points. The Texans are in fourth place in the district classification with less than two weeks before the playoffs.

“We have a couple more games that we need to win,” said Thompson. “We need to win at least three of these next four games to secure the playoffs. You know they are great games and we have to win them to secure the playoffs. For that we are shooting.”
