Seriously injured motorcyclist in a shock in Sherburn-in-Elmet

A motorcyclist suffered what the police have described as injuries “that change their lives” in a collision of three vehicles in North Yorkshire.

The accident, which involved a BMW S1000RR motorcycle and two cars, occurred in Copley Lane in Sherburn-in-Elmet just after 13:15 GMT on Sunday, police said.

The rider of La Moto, a man of about 60 years of West Yorkshire, was transferred by plane to the hospital to receive treatment and remained in a “serious” condition, according to the officers.

The drivers of a Ford Fiesta Blanco and Blue Skoda Kamiq, who were 30 -year -old men, were helping the police with their investigations, said a force spokesman.
