The man dies in alleged incident of family violence in Clarksson, wounded woman

A man is dead and a woman is seriously injured after an alleged homicide of family violence in the north outside of Perth.

Emergency services were called to a house at Elsbury Offing in Clarkson, just before 6:30 am on Tuesday morning.

A 72 -year -old man and a 52 -year -old woman were found on the property, 35 kilometers north of Perth, with serious injuries.

The man died in the place and the woman was taken to the hospital by San Juan Ambulance.

Police arrested a man in his place and said he was helping homicide detectives with his investigations.

Police said those involved were known to each other and believe that the incident is related to family violence.

Local resident Nigel Smith expressed his shock when he heard multiple sirens just before 6:30 am

“It is a good community, very quiet, many young children, many professionals, a very very pleasant community,” he said.

“We have a Facebook page and everyone takes care of everyone, so it is very disturbing to hear that news.”

The detectives have urged anyone with information, including the vision of CCTV or Dashcam of the area between 5:30 am and 6:30 am to contact Crime Stoppers.
