The mobile house fire in Berkeley County leaves a seriously injured person

Berkeley County, SC (WCSC) – A structure fire on Tuesday morning in Berkeley County turned out that a person was transferred to the hospital in a critical condition.

Chief Fire Assistant for Central Berkeley Fire & Ems Colt Roy said the teams responded to a fire in the house reported in the 1300 block of Old Highway 6 around 7:15 am

The units arrived and found a single -width mobile house that was half wrapped in flames.

The teams suspected that someone could have been caught and showed that they were fine and found a patient at home who needs immediate attention.

Fire & EMS teams worked “tirelessly” to stabilize the person they took out of the house while fighting simultaneously.

A medical helicopter was needed to take the patient to the hospital.

The fire was controlled shortly before 9 am

Researchers are working to determine the origin of the fire.
