Sunderland: Regis Bris expects Watford to “wake up” before the next match

In his press conference prior to the match, Bris also reacted to the transfer window, saying that the club managed Keep the lendline Liverpool for a couple of weeks.

He said: “Five players left: it was an important movement for them to find game time and play.

“When we have very good players, we can be close, but we kept them with us. They trust us and trust them. Trust is really shared.”

He also said that the Black Cats were trying to find a new club for Jewison Bennette after their movement of the deadline to Charlton fell, and added: “There are still some open markets, we will see if it is possible to find another club.”

A game that Bris admitted “was not ideal” was the assistant Mike Dodds who left to take care of Wycombe.

“It was a difficult decision for him, we have enjoyed the connection,” Le Bris said. “I wanted to be a chief coach and we respect that. Our staff is in a good place. We will see about a new assistant, we will probably decide in the next seven to 10 days in the configuration.

“It is not ideal (at this stage of the season), but professional life is not so.”
