Two people were seriously injured in an accident between Longmont and Berthoud

Two people were seriously injured during an accident of two vehicles around 8:47 am on Tuesday in Northern Us 287 and West Larimer County Road 2E, north of Longmont and south of Bertoud, according to the state patrol soldier of Colorado Gabriel Moltrer.

Dillon Forbes, 20, from Greley, was expelled from his vehicle and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The other man involved in the accident, a 44 -year -old Longmont resident, was also seriously injured and taken to the hospital, Moltrer said. Forbes received a citation for careless driving, which resulted in injuries, does not provide a valid insurance test and drives without a safety belt.

Forbes led south in his Nissan Pathfinder in the southern lane, when he lost control and turned antiquely in the lanes to the north, according to Moltrer. The other driver was traveling north in a Toyota Sequoia on the lanes north and hit the Pathfinder’s passenger side on the lane to the north, according to Moltrer.

Preliminary reports indicated that three people were taken to the hospital. A more complete investigation found that two people were taken to the hospital.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
