4 -day CWI regional championship

On the opening day of the Third Round clash in the 4 -day CWI Regional Championship between Guyana Harpy Eagles and the Western Indies Academy, it was seriously affected by the persistent rain, which allowed only 25.4 Overs of play in the National Stadium , Providence.

The Harpy Eagles found themselves in a precarious position at 87/4 yesterday at Stumps after winning the raffle and choosing to hit the day/night accessory.

Initially scheduled to start at 1 PM, the game finally started around the 4 PM brand after long rain delays, but Guyana’s tickets had a difficult start. The openers fought against the disciplined bowling of the attack of the Western Indies Academy, with the Tevin Imlach pattern and the opener Matthew Nandu starting at a low price. Nandu was beaten by Jediah Blades for only 1, while Imlach was caught by the same bowling player for 4. Raymond Pérez showed some intention, hitting five limits on his stroke of 29 of 38 balls, but his resistance was of short duration as He was caught by Akeeme Auguste de Blades, leaving Guyana fighting 37/3 in 11.
