Fiery Wyoming Tunnel Crash kills at least 2, closes the I-80 in both directions

Green River, Wyo. – A burning survey on Friday in an interest tunnel 80 in the southwest of Wyoming killed at least two people, seriously wounded at least five others and closed the road.

The accident involved an unknown number of trucks and other vehicles inside and outside the tunnel in Green River. The black smoke and explosive tires hindered the difficult income for rescuers, said Wyoming road patrol soldier Nicholas Warren.

The accident in the twin tunnel tube west on Friday morning closed the road in both directions, even without estimation late in the afternoon when it would open again. Road traffic was being redirected through Green River.

A statement from the nearly Memorial Hospital of the Sweetwater County urged people not to visit unless they had an emergency or family in the shipwreck of “massive victims.” Hospital spokeswoman Lena Warren said she still didn’t know how many victims were admitted.

The tunnel of a quarter of a mile (400 meters) is under Castle Rock, a sandstone formation that is on Green River, the headquarters of the Sweetwater county of 11,500 people.
