Woman arrested for bringing ‘space oil’ to Hong Kong after drug reference

Hong Kong Customs Officers have arrested a woman for allegedly having “space oil” when he reached the city, the first case of this type since some of the main ingredients of the emerging narcotic ingredients were officially classified as dangerous drugs by the authorities .

The Department of Customs and Special Taxes of Hong Kong said Sunday that he had arrested a 28 -year -old woman who was traveling to Hong Kong from Macao the day before.

The officers discovered a suspicious vape pen containing space oil when it underwent a customs authorization in the Ferry Macau terminal in Sheung Wan. The woman was subsequently arrested.

Customs said that the woman had claimed to be unemployed, and was released on bail pending a greater investigation.

“Customs will continue to intensify the application and combat the ‘space oil drugs’,” said the department.

On Friday, the authorities listed several key components used to make space oil, including its ethomidate ingredient, at the first time of the dangerous drug ordinance, placing them in the same category as cocaine.

Etomidate was previously classified as a poison of part 1.
