First day of alert day of climate: dangerous chills

A prolonged section of Arctic Air and dangerous chills will affect the northeast of Wisconsin until Wednesday. The National Meteorological Service has issued a cold weather warning for all our counties. Some counties are included in an extreme cold warning from tonight until Tuesday morning.

It is likely that the dangerous chills from -20 to -35 be again early tomorrow morning and then -15 to -30 wind in chills early Wednesday. When it is cold, we encourage people who limit their time outside, if possible. While in the frozen climate, dress warm and in layers. Be attentive to children, the elderly and pets if they also go outside. With these conditions, freezing can occur in the skin exposed in just 15 minutes.

We will leave the Arctic Air at the end of this week. As of Thursday, our high temperatures will increase to the 20s. There are also signs that the maximums higher than the average in the 30s and even the 40s will arrive at the beginning of next week.

Our prognosis looks dry in the next few days. That is often a distinctive seal of frozen and frigid air. The bursts are possible on Wednesday night, and snow showers are possible on Saturday. However, we do not expect any important winter system within this forecast period.
