Tuesday brings extreme cold and snow, some have much more than others

Kansas City, Mo. (KCTV) – Tuesday remains our highest alert, a first weather warned, due to a dangerous combination of accumulating snow and cold record.

Starting with snow, there are two rounds that each brings accumulation. The first is during the night, then a pause, then the main round of approximately 9 am at 6 pm on Tuesday. When awakening Tuesday morning, we are likely to see approximately 1 ″, although they are possible 2 ″ in some places. Morning handling will stop by fresh snow, but we can be in the calm calm among the rounds for the heart of the peak hour.

The snow seems to recover in the middle of the morning and last the night race before calming. The night’s trip will probably be worse than the morning, since the snow will be stacked during the day. It will be a light and powdered snow, so it will be easy to stick and plow. Ice is not expected. The snow must end in the area at 9 pm

Snow totals will be the highest south of Kansas City and the lowest of the subway. In general, 1-3 ″ is expected north of Kansas City. This area is under a winter weather warning until 3 in the morning on Wednesday, which is a lower level alert due to the minor snow that is expected here.

Kansas City and Points South are under the warning warning warning of a higher level during the same time, where more snow is expected. For the subway, a range of 2-4 ″ is likely. The heaviest snow will be south of Kansas City, where 4-7 ″ is expected. It is likely that there is a sharp change in snow in short distances, and we can even see great differences from the north side of Kansas City to the south side.

It should be noted that the computer forecasts are projecting a total taller snow than we are predicting, with 5-6 ″ for the subway. While this is possible, it is not likely. Computers say that snow will receive an impulse from the flakes of scales that are extra-flufy and that they will be stacked as corn palomites instead of fries. Most likely, since the air is so cold, it will be very dry. Dry air tends to reduce the amount of snow we have, so we are predicting at the lower end.

While snow has many headlines, the most memorable and dangerous is the cold about this event. This is a cold record for three days in a row. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are all records … for many. The maximums will not pass the 10 these days. Friday is near a record with 20. Wednesday morning are the minimum cold record, each of -4 to -12. The chills go from -20 to -30 during these mornings. Each of these days continues to be the weather warned due to extreme cold.
