A notorious ‘king of the drug’ known as ‘La Mosca’ has been arrested in Romania after organizing a deadly escape killing two guards and leaving others seriously injured.

Two guards were shot dead after the masked gunmen ambushed a prison convoy nine months ago in an attempt to free the fugitive French prisoner, Mohamed Amra, nicknamed the mouche (the fly).

The terrifying attack, in a toll station on the highway in the northwest of France, caused a great human hunt that saw several hundred police, including the elite anti -terrorism unit of France, looking for the alleged head of gangs and their accomplices.

The dramatic images showed the chilling moment that the prison truck was rammed by a black SUV before the gunmen, in hoods and balaclavas, which appeared and opened fire with military degrees.

The gunmen fled with the prisoner Amra, who also passes through alias such as Yanis, Momo and Schtroumpf (the pituffy). During hunting to locate the assailants, they were described as “armed and very dangerous.”

Two children were left without a father, while another woman, who had five months pregnant, was a widow after the two guards were shot dead.

The French prime minister, Gabriel Attal, described the ambush “despicable” and an attack against the nation and promised to hunt the gang.

Now the French government has confirmed that the alleged king of the Amra drug has been arrested in Romania after the attack of daylight.

In a publication about X, the French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau, thanked “all the forces that allowed the arrest of Mohamed Amra in Romania today.”

The atrocity took place in the light of May 14 of last year, since the convoy of the prison was two thirds of the road through a trip of 34 miles from Rouen in Normandy, transporting Amra back to jail in the city of Évreux after a judicial hearing.

Amra, who allegedly ordered a Gangland execution two years ago, had appeared before a research magistrate in the morning.

While the convoy stopped at Tollbooth in Incarville on the A154 highway near Val-de-Reuil, the SUV led to the lead truck, effectively blocking it.

The masked men in black emerged from two other cars, wielding weapons, which are believed to be pumping and automatic machine gun action rifles.

They opened fire with armed officers inside the prison trucks shooting. It is believed that one of the attackers was injured in the shooting.

The coordinated attack ended in five minutes, after being played in front of motorists, including a coach whose passengers took mobile phone videos.

Amra and the gang escaped in two cars, an Audi A5 and a BMW 5 series, which were then abandoned and burned.

The prosecutor of Paris, Laure Beccuau, said that AMRA had connections with the organized crime unions of Marseille and was suspected that headed a drug trafficking network.

According to reports, it has also been related to organized crime and drug trafficking, as well as kidnapping and murder.

AMRA was sentenced by a series of aggravated robberies last week and received a sentence of 18 months after using a weapon to steal supermarkets in Évreux in 2019.

He has a total of 13 sentences and was also in relation to an attempt at murder in Saint-étienne-Du-Roury, near Rouen, and the execution of a man in Marseille in June 2022.

Amra is nicknamed ‘The Fly’ due to its multiple convictions and its participation in a variety of crimes, with a source that says: ‘It is everywhere, like an annoying fly’.

French justice minister Eric Dupond-Moretti said: “These are people for whom life does not count at all.”

French prison guards wear bullet vests and have guns when they transport prisoners.

They do not have to stop or pay at the toll stations, but they often slow down traffic, which makes them vulnerable to attacks.
