4 killed, 3 seriously injured in the accident on Friday night in southern Missouri

Kansas City, Mo.-Four people died and three others were seriously injured after a two vehicle accident in Vernon County on Friday night, said the road patrol of the state of Missouri.

At 8 pm, a Toyota did not stop at a high signal on Route 54 of the United States, two miles south of Walker, Missouri.

A GMC hit the Toyota, causing the road to leave and hit a fence and a tree.

Three of the five occupants of Toyota, who were women aged 18, 19 and 20, died.

The Toyota driver, a 49 -year -old man, and another passenger, a 38 -year -old woman, had serious injuries.

The driver was transported to a Hospital in Joplin, while the 38 -year -old passenger was transferred by plane to a hospital in Springfield.

The GMC driver, a 38 -year -old man, died while a 39 -year -old passenger was seriously injured and flew to a hospital in Springfield.

An GMC 18 -year -old passenger had moderate injuries and two 16 -year -old young people had minor injuries. All were taken to a hospital in Nevada, Missouri.
