A police cordon is in its place in a street in the center of the city of Birmingham after a man has suffered ‘serious injuries’.

West Midlands ambulance service He found the man on Granville street, outside Wide streetin the center of the city in the early hours of Sunday (February 23).

The officers found a man in his 30s with a “number of injuries.”

It was said that he had been “seriously injured” and remains in a “serious condition” in the hospital on Sunday.

The cause of serious injuries is not yet known.

West Midlands police are investigating the incident and is asking anyone who has information with them.

In a statement, a force spokesman said: “We are investigating after a man was seriously injured in Birmingham City Center Today (Sunday, February 23).

“The ambulance service called Granville Street in the city center just after 4 am

“It is believed that the man, at 30, suffered a series of injuries and today is in a serious condition in the hospital.

“We are making a series of consultations, including CCTV checks, but at this stage we do not know how it was injured.

“The officers remain in the area by consulting this afternoon.

“Any person with information should contact us through 101 or Chat live, citing record 622”.
