North Korea supplies 50% of Russia’s ammunition – Budanov

North Korea is providing 50% of Russia’s ammunition in their war against Ukraine.

Kyrylo Budanov, head of the main intelligence direction of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, declared during the “Ukraine forum. Year 2025”, according to UCRinform.

“We cannot ignore its strategic ally, North Korea, which satisfies 50% of all the needs of frontline ammunition. Fifty percent of the ammunition comes from Korea (North),” said Budanov.

Budanov also revealed that North Korea has begun large -scale deliveries of 170 mm self -propelled obuses and multiple rocket launch systems from 240 mm to Russia.

“To date, Russia has received 120 units of each type of system, by a total of 240 units. After that, with the help of Russian specialists, the systems were modernized and their precision became acceptable. This year, Korea del del North delivers 148 more systems of this type, “he said.

He also recalled that North Korea had provided assistance to Russia in the form of soldiers.

North Korea sent almost 12,000 soldiers to Russia, with 4,000 victims due to injuries and deaths. Currently, the number of North Korean troops in Russia is 8,000, but replacements for 4,000 dear or injured soldiers are being prepared, Budanov said.

Previously, Budanov warned that the participation of North Korea in the war against Ukraine has long -term consequences for security architecture in the Asia and Pacific region.
