Mass. Man seriously injured in a snow motorcycle clash

A Massachusetts man was seriously injured in a snow motorcycle accident in New Hampshire last week, according to the State Fishing and Hunting Department.

Conservation officers were notified of the accident in Jack-O-Lantern South Drive in Woodstock just before 6:15 pm on Thursday, The department said in a press release. They soon learned that the 43 -year -old Scituate resident, Philip Chadwell, had lost control of the snow motorcycle traveling while crossing Route 3.

Chadwell hurt his leg in the accident and was taken by ambulance to the Littleton Regional Hospital, the department said. Chadwell wore a helmet at the time of the accident, and neither speed nor alcohol seemed to be factors in the crash.

“Conservation officers would like to remind snow motorcycles to always use caution while crossing the paved roads. Always familiarize yourself with the snow motorcycle operation before riding and always use a helmet,” the department wrote in the press release.
