The advisor of Origin Affairs Lt Gen (RETD) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury warned that legal measures will be taken against the application of the law if it is negligent in their duties.

He issued the warning today while talking to journalists after placing crowns in the Cemetery of the Banani Army on the occasion of the National Army Day Martiros and the anniversary of the BDR butcher shop (now Bangladesh border guard).

The advisor emphasized that a special operation at the national level began last night to strengthen the law and order.

“If any police personnel, BGB, the rapid action battalion, Ansar or the Prison Department, fail in their responsibilities, will be taken under legal scrutiny. No one will be saved,” said the domestic advisor.

Jahangir Alam also addressed the demands of the families of the martyrs of BDR carnage.

He said his two main demands were justice and the statement of the National Army Day Martiros. The Government has officially recognized on February 25 as the National Army Day Martiros, which is first observed this year, he said.

To thoroughly investigate the riot, a National Independent Independent Research Commission has formed.
