Warrington: woman arrested after the pensioner, 84, ‘Horribribly attacked’ on the street by ‘XL Bully’ | United Kingdom News

A woman was arrested after an 84 -year -old man was seriously injured in a “horrible” dog attack in Cheshire, according to the police.

The 29 -year -old has been arrested under suspicion of having a dog that was dangerously out of control, causing serious injuries.

The victim was “horribly” attacked by the animal, which is believed to be a XL BullyWhile walking through Bardsley Avenue in Warrington around 6.40 pm on Monday, Cheshire The police said.

The animal had escaped from a nearby direction.

Police, including armed officers, went to property, and the dog was destroyed outside the direction.

A second suspicion of XL Bully was also destroyed within the property and a smaller third dog was seized.

The officers fired 19 shots to close the incident, the force said.

The victim, a local man, was taken to the Aintree hospital in Liverpoolwhere its condition is currently described as critical but stable.

Detectives are looking for a 40 -year -old man in relation to the attack.

Cheshire police chief Mark Roberts said the victim was “an innocent man who simply walked on the street when he was attacked horribly by an alleged unregistered thug.”

The race, he said, “are like weapons; their physical attributes can make it own a firearm loaded with a questionable safety capture.”

“The size and ferocity of these animals mean that our firearms officers had to download 19 shots, all of which achieved their objectives, to bring the incident to a conclusion and guarantee the security of the public.”

He said that what happened “will impact (the victim) for the rest of his life.”

Police chief Roberts said the force has eliminated more than 100 XL County stalkers.
