Fresno’s teacher appears in the Court for charges of sexual crimes as a document reveals new details

Fresno, California (KFSN) – A Bullard High teacher who is now licensed appeared in Los Grilletes on Tuesday after prosecutors hit him with 38 charges.

“We are here for a position reading hearing,” Judge William Terrence said.

Ray Waller is looking to hire a private lawyer, which is an indication that he wants to fight against accusations against him.

The researchers believe that Waller had sex with a minor explicit content, sold or produced, and committed leaf acts.

The charges sent shock waves in their old school.

“To be honest,” he said last week. “It’s really disgusting.”

In the newly submitted accusation document, prosecutors claim that some of the sexual crimes took place in the Waller classroom as recently as last month.

The documents reveal that four victims and states one of them could have been as young as 14.

“It seems that someone must have filed and filed a complaint,” said Action News Legal Analyst Tony Capozzi. “And when a person came forward, he seemed to flourish in others who advanced.”

Capozzi reviewed the accusation document, calling the number of “surprising” positions, but saying that prosecutors must feel that they have enough evidence.

“They are claiming that this is a teacher who was put in that position and knew that these children were vulnerable because they were younger. He was in a position of trust,” Capozzi said.

Waller could enter a plea with his new lawyer as soon as next Thursday.

For now, he is detained in jail with a bail of $ 830,000. Prosecutors say they are preparing a motion to deny the bail completely.

Currently, only two of the four victims are identified, and the judge said that Waller must remain at least 100 yards away.

“You should not have any contact with either of them,” Judge Terrence said. “There is no personal, electronic, telephone or written contact with those people.”

The prosecutor told the judge that investigators are working to identify the other two victims and potentially more as the investigation continues.

If Waller declares himself innocent next week, the case could roll the judicial system for months.
